Calendar App
Dario
This is a designconcept for a calendar mobile application.
The Problem
What I noticed with some of these calendar apps is the inefficiency to access the different calendar views. These are the day, weekly, and monthly views. There are also calendar apps that even show the whole entire year just like the default calendar app in iOS devices. Different people prefer to look at their calendars in different ways depending on how an individual manages his or her activities. I use Google Calendar and the default view that I use is the monthly. For me, the monthly view is a bird's eye view. I like to see the whole picture of the month because planning ahead is important to me. There are times, however, that I just want to see my schedule for the day or the week and to get into these views requires two tap gestures. Accessing a particular calendar view this way is a little bit inconvenient in my opinion.
Design Solution
Here is Dario, a concept design for calendar app. This design will utilize the swipe gesture of the mobile device when changing from one calendar view to another view. In addition, I also made some user interface design which I believe would make adding and editing events a more user friendly experience.
Prototype
I designed this app using Adobe XD. The link that is provided here will take you the calendar prototype. Adobe XD is still in its early stages when this app was conceptualized. The calendar app prototype is still limited because of that reason and the left and right swiping can not be done in the prototype. However, I created an invisible boxes that can be tap and will simulate the swiping motion.
